Player Rules   |
TIMEKEEPING “On Time is Late”. Players should aim to reach the ground 10 minutes before the meet time, this will mean that with any delays you will be on time. If any one player is late for 3 meet times out of 5 it will be a consideration in future selection. ATTIRE (SATURDAYS ONLY) 1ST and 2ND TEAMS All caps that are worn on the pitch should be Egham caps. If the player prefers a white sunhat they should not display the colours of another club. Caps are available from Chris Watmore £8.50, which is at cost; there is no profit to the club. As far as is possible Egham shirts must be worn by everyone selected in the first team. Again available from Chris Watmore. If not then a plain white cricket shirt is a minimum. 3RD TEAM Strongly encouraged to wear club colours, especially if a regular member of the team. MATCH DAY JOBS A list of jobs that HAVE TO BE DONE will be posted on the changing room wall. When players arrive they can put their names to a job, which is a commitment to do that job that day. Therefore the earlier that you arrive on the ground the easier job you can get. The jobs will be for both before and after the match, you must do your work before leaving the ground. IT IS NOT RIGHT FOR PEOPLE TO LEAVE WORK UP TO THE SAME PEOPLE EVERY WEEK. IT IS A TEAM GAME AND EVERYONE MUST PULL THEIR WEIGHT. SKIPPER’S RESPONSIBILITIES Whenever a player is promoted or dropped from a side then they will first be called by the captain of the team they are leaving. They will then be welcomed to their new side by the captain of that team with details of meet time etc.. The captains must do their utmost to do this early in the week, before the sides are displayed on the website and before Wednesday training. The captains must make themselves available to discuss any issues with team members either individually or as a group. TRAINING Wednesday training is for ALL club members and should be structured in such a way as to give all players fair use of the facilities. Players should approach a coach, Ian Smith or Richard Hall, if they feel that they would benefit from coaching on a certain aspect of their game. It does not matter at what level the player is at they will all receive the same attention. These are the results of the above players meeting and have been written down in the book that currently has no name. If at any time these conditions need to change or be added to then they can be either club wide or by individual teams for their own use. They are a basic level of conduct that the players present believe is not too much to ask of anyone representing Egham CC. If you have any questions please ask anyone who attended the meeting. You should all have known about it. Those that were present:- Ian Smith, Grant Meadows, Andy Law, Mark Watmore, Mick Watmore, Adrian Ward, Wayne Johncock, Stefan Kaltner, Mark Kaltner, Richard Hall, Chris Watmore, Chris Nash, Will Harrison, Stuart Margetts, David Morris, Iain Campbell, Brad Staight, Michael Hunte, Phil Champkin, Bruce Applin
